Who We Are

ENlibris is a product of Ebon et Noir LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”). ENlibris is a book cataloging and marketplace listing platform for antiquarian and collectible book sellers. Our website is www.enlibris.com.

Information We Collect

  • Account information: Email address, name, and password when you create an account.
  • Book data: Photos, descriptions, pricing, and other catalog information you provide about your inventory.
  • Marketplace credentials: API keys, OAuth tokens, and FTP credentials you provide to connect third-party marketplaces (eBay, Etsy, Sellbrite, AbeBooks, Shopify, Biblio, Alibris) and social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, Tumblr, X/Twitter).
  • Meta/Instagram data: When you connect your Instagram Business Account, we receive and store your Instagram Business Account ID, connected Facebook Page ID, Page access token, account display name, and a long-lived user access token. We do not access your Instagram followers, direct messages, personal profile data, or any content you did not create through ENlibris.
  • Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and error logs to improve the service.

How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain the ENlibris service.
  • To process and list your books on connected marketplaces on your behalf.
  • To generate and publish social media posts to connected accounts on your behalf.
  • To use AI services (Google Gemini) to classify, describe, and generate content for your book listings. Book photos and extracted text are sent to Google's Vertex AI API for processing.
  • To send service-related communications.

Third-Party Services

ENlibris integrates with the following third-party services to provide its features:

  • Google Cloud / Vertex AI: Image analysis, text extraction, and content generation.
  • Firebase: Authentication, data storage, and file storage.
  • Meta (Instagram/Facebook): Social media posting via the Instagram Content Publishing API. We request permission to publish content to your Instagram feed and manage your connected Facebook Page on your behalf. We use the following Meta API permissions: instagram_basic, instagram_content_publish, pages_manage_posts, pages_show_list, and business_management.
  • Tumblr: Social media posting via the Tumblr NPF API (v2). We post book listings with images, captions, and links to your Tumblr blog on your behalf. OAuth 2.0 tokens are stored securely in Firestore with tenant isolation.
  • X (Twitter): Social media posting via the X API v2 (Free tier). We post tweets with book images and listing links on your behalf. We use OAuth 1.0a authentication — your access tokens are permanent and stored securely in Firestore. We do not read your timeline, followers, or direct messages. We only use the tweet creation and media upload endpoints.
  • Marketplace APIs: eBay, Etsy, Sellbrite, AbeBooks, Shopify, Biblio, and Alibris for listing management.
  • Inngest: Background job processing.

Meta/Instagram Data Use

When you connect your Instagram Business Account to ENlibris through Meta's OAuth flow, we access and use your data as follows:

  • What we access: Your Instagram Business Account ID, connected Facebook Page ID and name, and a Page access token for publishing.
  • What we publish: Photos of your book listings with AI-generated captions and hashtags, posted to your Instagram feed on your behalf. You can review and edit every caption before it is published.
  • What we do not access: Your Instagram followers, following list, direct messages, stories, reels, personal profile information, or any content not created through ENlibris.
  • Token storage: Your Meta access tokens are stored securely in Google Cloud Firestore with tenant isolation. Tokens are automatically refreshed before expiry and are never shared with other users or third parties.
  • Disconnecting:You may disconnect your Instagram account at any time from Settings > Social Media in ENlibris. Disconnecting immediately deletes all stored Meta credentials and tokens. You may also remove ENlibris from your Meta account via Facebook Settings > Business Integrations, which triggers automatic deletion of your credentials on our end.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore and Google Cloud Storage, both hosted in the United States. Marketplace and social media credentials are stored encrypted in Firestore and are never exposed to other users. We use Firebase Authentication for secure access control with tenant isolation — your data is never accessible to other accounts.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at privacy@enlibris.com. Upon request, we will delete your account, book data, stored images, and any connected marketplace or social media credentials within 30 days. Social media posts already published to your connected accounts are not affected by account deletion.

Meta/Instagram data deletion:If you remove ENlibris from your Meta account (via Facebook Settings > Business Integrations), Meta notifies us automatically and we immediately delete all stored credentials associated with your Meta user ID. You can verify the status of a deletion request at any time. You may also disconnect your Instagram account directly within ENlibris settings, which immediately deletes all stored Meta tokens and credentials.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data.
  • Disconnect any connected marketplace or social media account at any time via your ENlibris settings.
  • Export your book catalog data.

Cookies

ENlibris uses a session cookie ( __session) for authentication. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of ENlibris after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
